Replacing the clamping blocks: When replacing the clamping blocks on the reducing mill, first open the cover of the clamping cylinder housing, then remove the two pin shafts from the slider, extract the slider from the front, and take off the original clamping block. Next, install the required clamping block in one go, following the assigned numbers. Finally, reassemble in reverse order, clean the removed clamping blocks, and apply lubricant for future use.

1. Turn on the power switch. Once the HMI is connected to the PLC, set the “Auto/Zero” switch on each HMI screen to the “Auto” position; the program will then run automatically. Press the left foot pedal to extend the positioning pin and manually place the workpiece to be welded. Press the left foot pedal again to lower the left pressure plate, then press the foot pedal of the diameter‑reducing machine to release the left pressure plate. Press the foot pedal once more to re‑press the left pressure plate, and press it again to release it—repeat this sequence. After the left pressure plate has clamped the workpiece, press the right foot pedal to retract the positioning pin, then press the right foot pedal to engage the right pressure plate, and finally press the foot pedal one last time.

1. Employment requirements: Drivers must undergo professional training, obtain an operator’s qualification certificate, and work only with the appropriate certification.

2. You must be familiar with the structure, performance, electrical system, and operating principles of the reducer’s hydraulic clamping and compression system. You should be capable of maintaining the reducer, correctly troubleshooting common malfunctions, and operating it in accordance with the requirements of this procedure.

3. The reducer’s electrical system must be in good working order, and the control buttons must be responsive and reliable.

4. During operation, the operator shall not leave the control station.

5. When operating the diameter‑reducing machine, be sure to wear the prescribed personal protective equipment. Before starting work, tightly fasten your cuffs and waistband. Gloves are not permitted.
